How long does a service take?

We strive to achieve a 10 working day cycle on all machines unless exceptional repair work is needed.

Are machines tested before leaving the workshop?

All machines are comprehensively “stitched out” to verify that the machine is performing to its specification.

What is the warrantee on a service?

Workmanship and parts are warranted for 3 months.

What must I bring in when I book my machine for a service?

When You Bring Your Machine in for Servicing, please bring along the following:

  • Sewing Machine
  • Embroidery Unit (If Applicable)
  • Power Cord & Foot Control
  • All Purpose Presser Foot
  • Embroidery Presser Foot (Embroidery Units Only)
  • Bobbin Case
  • Bobbin
  • General Sewing Stitch Plate (Not Straight Stitch Plate)

Please do not bring any other accessories. If you are experiencing trouble with a specific problem, please bring in the sample of what the machine is doing.

How often should I service my machine?

To keep your machine running great, you should service it at least once a year – If you sew more than 4 hours or so every day, you should service more frequently.

Why use a Bernina Authorised Service Agent?

If you get your Bernina or Bernette Sewing Machine or Overlocker serviced by a  non Authorised Mechanic you void your  Bernina and Bernette warranty.

Do you only service Bernina machines?

We service all makes of sewing machines and overlockers (Terms and Conditions apply).
